Larisa Soboleva, Quaestio Rossica editor-in-chief, participated in Clarivate Analytics's seminar
Ural Federal University in association with Clarivate Analytics held the seminar “Web of Science for editors of scientific journals” on July 10, 2019.
The content of the seminar covered several issues: journal selection process applied to Web of Science Core Collection Citation Indexes, criteria used in academic journal evaluation process, main citation indicators. Among participants were representatives of leading Ural journals’ editorial teams. Participants discussed favorable factors and obstacles the editorial team meets on the way to the status of internationally recognized scientific journal. Valentin Bogorov (Head of Customer Education Department at Clarivate Analytics) and Oleg Utkin (Head of Russia & CIS Division at Clarivate Analytics) covered in details journal selection process, new rules for registering journals on the Web of Science platform. They also presented to the audience new possibilities provided by Publons service.
Larisa Soboleva, “Quaestio Rossica” editor-in-chief, as invited speaker shared with the participants experience in establishing academic journal on humanities. She also gave overview of “Quaestio Rossica” editorial policy and described practical steps aimed on improvement of quality of articles and wider geographical representation of the authors.
